So I thought it would be cool to write a blog post about a recent event at Cleverhosting.
Earlier today we were made aware that a customers VPS was being used to send out phishing e-mails and host phishing websites. We immediately turned off the offending VPS to avoid any potential damage. All information that we gathered from the VPS was then sent to the relevant authorities for appropriate processing.
Cleverhosting want to assure you that we proactively monitor our networks and servers to ensure legal activity at all times. If any illegal activity is discovered we take immediate action to protect the security of our networks. We feel that it is our responsibility as a hosting services provider to be aware of potential threats and act as responsibly as possible, not only for the good of ourselves but also for those across the internet.
